A woman put before my eyes
Yet pierces my inept
disguise,
Taken from beyond the sea,
Abandoned only to torment
me.
Though pearls of evergreen
waterfalls
Reflect my thoughts and
longing calls,
Only I remain in lonesome
haze,
Fallen in dusty, dark malaise.
Words we use to say our
love,
To touch our hearts, to
rise above,
Yet thoughts conceived in
purest mind
Shadow all that can be
defined.
